CBAA Conference: 24-26 March 2022, Cairns

As states are planning their border opening strategies over the next few months, we have decided to move the CBAA Conference in Cairns to 24-26 March 2022.

We are confident that by this time all states will have opened, and we hope this means more members will be able to attend. Because last year was a virtual conference, we feel it is important that this year it be held in person. The conference promises to be another terrific event where a diverse range of broadcasters, volunteers, technicians, and stakeholders can come together to develop and strengthen their skills, knowledge base, and sector work.

Since our last Conference at the end of 2019, the sector has worked tirelessly to connect communities in times of need – through emergencies, the provision of local information and news, broadcasting health information in community languages, and connecting and comforting listeners through music and talks content.

“It was very valuable listening to the speakers that brought so much knowledge, experience to the table. I am very new to the world of community radio and gained lots of answers to the questions I had prior to the conference. It was as well great to connect with the other community radio stations.” 2020 Conference Delegate

Tickets are limited, so get in early. Super Early Bird tickets for CBAA Members are on sale now until 2 August.
