If you're a community radio listener that wants to take your involvement in this exciting sector to the next level, here's a rundown on what to do next.

Find your local station

If you haven't already, you can use our station look up to find out more about the stations in your area.

Become a subscriber or member of your favourite station

Stations rely on the invaluable support of their local communities to keep them going. Check out your local station's website for details on their membership.

Volunteer at a station

There are 22,000 community broadcasting volunteers across Australia - are you next?

The CBAA shares volunteer opportunities here, and it is also worth contacting your target station or stations directly about any opportunities to become involved. They'll have all the details about when and how often that station takes on volunteers and the types of roles you could expect to be fulfilling, from administration, music library coordination and technician roles through to production and on-air presenter roles.

Become a station staff member

Many stations also have paid full or part-time roles, with many of them advertised here
