Deutsche Welle is very happy to announce that their internship program for young community radio journalists is set to continue in 2021/22 after the COVID crisis.

As the world returns to “the new normal”, Deutsche Welle look forward to welcoming from one to three interns, once it is safe to do so.

Deutsche Welle offer a paid internship including return airfare from Australia to Germany. Interns will commence their internships at the Deutsche Welle Headquarters in Bonn and will also work at DW TV /Online in Berlin.

If this opportunity interests you and you would like to experience working in Europe from 3 months to a year, then keep an eye on the CBAA website, where Deutsche Welle will advertise the internship as soon as the COVID crisis has passed.

Applicants are required to have a Tertiary Degree and conversational German, although the work is in English. Deutsche Welle always love to work with interns trained at CBAA stations.

For more information, please contact Esther Blank, Deutsche Welle's representative in Australia ([email protected]).
