Labor's win secures $12m promise for community radio.

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia, First Nations Media Australia and the Local & Independent News Association prepared a joint submission reviewing the operation of the News Media and Digital Platforms Mandatory Bargaining Code from the perspective of independent, community-based news publishers and broadcasters.

The Greens have committed to guaranteeing future funding for the community broadcasting sector.

Correspondents from stations across the country, including 8CCC, 2GLF, RTRFM, 4ZZZ, FBi and 2SER will add to the coverage. We'll cross live to Amanda Copp and Emily Minnie who will be with election leaders at their gatherings. Partnering with university student publication, Junction Journalism, we will talk with a collection of experts and commentators to discuss policies and how they will affect different areas around the country.

As part of National Volunteer Week, CBAA celebrates Sarah Peterson from 4RFM.

The CBAA has made a submission to the ACMA’s consultation on adopting a set of principles to guide the planning of AM to FM conversions in regional radio licence areas.

The CBAA is excited to welcome Rashkia Singh to our finance team. Prior to her maternity leave Rashika held a simialr management accountant role at Films/ Dendy, her experience gained there and her extensive expertise in budgeting, reporting and working alongside managers to achieve collective goals makes her an incredible asset to the CBAA finance department and wider team.
