2013 SACBA Conference & Bilby Awards

enadmin, 26th July 2013

The SACBA 2013 state conference was held at West Lakes in Adelaide over the weekend of 20-21 July.Over 70 people from 16 stations were in attendance, discussing community radio and watching through the wall of glass as wind, rain and hail swept across West Lakes.

The sessions were all well attended and engaging, providing much food for conversation in the breaks.

The Bilby Awards were presented over a delicious dinner on Saturday evening, with some stations getting the most from the occasion and possibly contributing to some very tired bodies at the AGM Sunday morning!

A full list of winners, runners-up and more is available at the SACBA website.

Every year, the SACBA gathers members for their annual conference. In 2014, the SACBA Conference will be held from 13-14 July at the Lakes Resort Hotel and will feature workshops on voice, copywriting, recording, editing, social media and more.

South Australian Community Broadcasters Association (SACBA) is the peak body for community broadcasters in South Australia. Since forming in 1983, the SACBA has been actively supporting community radio in South Australia.

As always, a highlight of the SACBA Conference were the Bilby Awards celebrating the contribution community radio makes to the South Australian community and encourages high achievement within the sector.
