Find a Station
Subscribers and members are the lifeblood of many stations and contribute large amounts of income to station offers. One of the key fundraising aims of most community radio stations is to maintain and expand their membership and subscriber numbers. Like all things within a community radio station, the process of maintaining existing and attracting new members and subscribers is reliant on good administrative systems and processes.

Letting your prospective members know what they gain from being a member of your station can really encourage fence sitters to sign up. It also reminds your current members of the value that their membership provides. Some examples we’ve seen at stations are:
Discounts at local businesses
Discounted/free tickets to station events
Discounts on station merchandise
AGM participation
On air shoutouts

Newsletters can inform readers of upcoming organisational and programming changes, celebrates Life Members, long-standing volunteers, new volunteers and new programs as well as sharing a few interesting stories about the community of interest's shared passion; music, arts, culture or local events.
It can be challenging getting the right volunteers through the door of your station, let alone the right people with the right skills for what you are looking for. A great way to do this is to advertise for specific roles with job positions in your newsletter.
