How to Listen

There are many ways to listen to your local community station wherever you are and whenever it suits you

For a traditional listening experience, tune in to your local community radio station on AM or FM frequencies. Check your favourite station's website for their broadcast frequency and enjoy reliable access to community radio in your area.

Digital Radio (DAB+)

Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB+) sits alongside AM and FM as an alternative radio transmission platform and is part of digitising the delivery of radio services.  Like AM and FM radio, digital services are broadcast free-to-air. Digital radio does this via DAB+ technology. Digital radio is not the same as Internet radio, which is listening to radio via an online audio stream.

DAB+ provides high-quality sound and a greater variety of stations. DAB+ radios are available at most electronics stores.
Currently, there are 53 community radio licensees operating 60+ digital services across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart and the Gold Coast.
