Suicide Prevention Content for Broadcasters - April 2026

For play: 1 April 2026 until 30 April 2026

The Community Broadcasting Association is pleased to welcome you to the April 2026 content of our national suicide prevention and mental health awareness project, developed with the support of the Australian Government Department of Health.

Each month, our project team develops a series of 20 short radio segments designed to promote help-seeking behaviour and positive lifestyle choices, using interviews with service providers, as well as profiles of people who have successfully dealt with tough times in their lives.

This month, we find out about this month’s National Suicide Prevention Conference, which brings together the brightest minds and the latest research, alongside the perspectives of those with lived experience.

We learn about the range of free guides, as well as merchandise, that you can order from R U OK? to help you to start meaningful conversations with those around you.

We learn about the perinatal depression and anxiety support and information PANDA provides for new and expecting parents, as well as their families, support people and health care providers.

We profile Gather My Crew, an organisation that’s committed to giving everyday people the tools and confidence to offer real, coordinated support to those around them when it matters most.

And we find out about the Powerful Storytelling with Purpose online storytelling course and how it can help people to share their personal stories well and safely.
