The Community Broadcasting Association is pleased to welcome you to the December 2025 content of our national suicide prevention and mental health awareness project, developed with the support of the Australian Government Department of Health.
Each month, our project team develops a series of 20 short radio segments designed to promote help-seeking behaviour and positive lifestyle choices, using interviews with service providers, as well as profiles of people who have successfully dealt with tough times in their lives.
This month, we catch up with new R U OK? CEO Lachlan Searle to find out how we can start meaningful conversations with people around us who may be struggling during the holiday period.
We learn about the new resources which ReachOut has developed to help teens and their parents to navigate the new social media age restrictions.
We find out about some new data that shows increasing levels of workplace burnout around Australia, and look at some of the ways we can recognise and prevent burnout in work environments.
We catch up with the ReachOut team to learn how teens can cope with the holiday period if they find it stressful, overwhelming or difficult.
And we find out about the free, interactive e-learning resources R U OK? has developed to help us to have meaningful and often life-changing conversations in the workplace.
