CBAA Submissions

The CBAA highlights the critical role of community broadcasting in providing a voice for underserved communities and emphasizes the importance of community journalists in shaping the news agenda and political discourse. The letter argues that the proposed ANZSCO classification would exclude many community journalists who do not meet the criteria of a higher qualification or years of experience. It calls for a more fit-for-purpose definition that recognizes the unique contributions of community journalists and aligns with the objectives of the Media Diversity Measurement Framework.
