Gadigal Information Service / Koori Radio (GIS) and the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) present First Sounds Volume 12, another vital volume of exciting new music from emerging First Nations across the country. Produced by GIS / Koori Radio and distributed to community radio by CBAA via its AMRAP (Australian Music Airplay Project) initiative, First Sounds Volume 12 showcases a dynamic range of styles including folk, pop, R&B, hip hop, electronica, and roots. First Sounds has delivered thousands of radio spins for First Nations artists, often for the first time in their career.

Magandjin / Brisbane’s Badassmutha features on First Sounds Volume 12 with the bright and soulful pop banger Dizzy:

Community radio and initiatives such as First Sounds are crucial for First Nations artists and I am so grateful to continually feel supported by the work that they do to ensure our voices are heard and audiences get to hear deadly music.

First Sounds Volume 12 will be distributed to over 250 community stations for airplay via CD and digitally through amrap.org.au, an initiative of the CBAA dedicated to getting new Australian music to the airwaves.
