Text saying Myanmar Earthquake Appeal

We’re supporting the Emergency Action Alliance (EAA) in response to the devastating 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar and surrounding regions. We encourage community broadcasters to get behind this coordinated emergency response by sharing information about the appeal with your communities.

How your station can support the appeal:
- On air: Play the official 15-second radio community service announcement
- Online and in newsletters: Promote the appeal via your station’s website and newsletters.
- On social media: Share the official appeal link: https://myanmar.emergencyaction.org.au
- Encourage donations: Call 1300 939 000 or visit the appeal website.

EAA can assist in connecting interested news outlets with relevant spokespeople from partner organisations.

Let’s work together to support this coordinated effort and help those affected in Myanmar.

About the Emergency Action Alliance

Emergency Action Alliance is a group of 15 leading aid organisations in Australia who use their reach and resources to save lives around the world.

Their members are experts in humanitarian aid and specialise in different areas of disaster response. Their members fund their running costs, and EAA allocates the money they raise in their appeals to those members responding to the emergency.

By combining their expertise, they can turn the care and passion of their supporters into a targeted response to international emergencies.

Making it easier for Australians to know how to help, they run a centralised appeal and distribute appeal funds only to those of their members responding directly to the emergency.
