Our Story, Stronger
Community broadcasting is built on people sharing stories.
Every day, stations across Australia connect their communities through local news, music, culture, language and conversation. When we come together as a sector, we have the chance to learn from each other, celebrate our impact and build the skills we need for the future.
The 2026 conference theme, Our Story, Stronger, reflects the importance of understanding and communicating the value of community broadcasting, both within the sector and beyond it.
The conference program will explore how we tell our story, how we support each other, and how we continue to grow stronger together.
Scholarships, Awards and more
Scholarship applications are now open for 2026, helping stations with limited resources attend the conference.
The CBAA Community Broadcasting Awards will open for entries on 27 April, but the awards booklet is already available so stations can review categories and requirements and start preparing submissions.
All information about scholarships, awards, program updates and travel options is available on the conference website.

Join the sector in Geelong
The 2026 conference will be held at the new Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre, opening in 2026 on the Geelong waterfront.
Designed to modern accessibility standards and located close to accommodation, transport and dining, the venue provides a new setting for the sector to come together.
We encourage stations to start planning early and consider bringing a team so more people can benefit from the experience.
