About the CRN

The CRN provides a stream of programming for community radio stations. Stations use the CRN to supplement their programming, access specific programs and content, as well as fill in scheduling gaps. The network is comprised of great-quality shows from community radio stations all across Australia.

Starting from $57 plus GST per month, CRN is cost-effective because it’s priced to suit your station. We charge a percentage of your income to ensure a fair price, making CRN a sustainable option for your station.

To subscribe to CRN, contact us at [email protected]. You'll also need to obtain the necessary infrastructure for your station.  

You can use as much or as little CRN content as you like! Our subscription fee is a flat rate and is not dependent on the amount of content you use.

We can help you to find the best approach to accessing and broadcasting content, with options including:

Liva via satellite receiver, accessible via the Optus VAST satellite platform
As audio files for on-demand playout via File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
The Digital Delivery Network

Yes, you can:

Switch to live satellite for specific programming, or as a sustaining service during the day or overnight
Play on-demand files manually through FTP or the Digital Delivery Network
Integrate files in your station's automation system and software
"Set and forget" with auto-updating files for daily/weekly playout
Provide CRN to your broadcasters looking for drop-in content
