We're for strong and successful community broadcasters

The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) is the peak body for community broadcasters. We're dedicated to supporting and championing community broadcasting in Australia.

Our Mission

The CBAA strives to build strong and successful community broadcasters, including both radio and television, by providing essential services, advocacy, and support. This is to ensure that community radio remains a vibrant and integral part of the Australian media landscape, enriching the social and cultural fabric of society.

We have over 300 members, which is approximately 90% of Australia's community radio licensees. Our members benefit from a range of services designed to support and enhance their broadcasting capabilities. Our work to support and engage with the sector is informed by our Member and Stakeholder Engagement Framework.

The CBAA is a not-for-profit cultural organisation. We are a company limited by guarantee and registered as a charitable institution. Donations to the CBAA are accepted, and details can be found on the ACNC Charity register.
