The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia has today revealed the finalists in its 2017 CBAA Community Radio Awards.

These national awards celebrate excellence in community broadcasting, recognising the achievements of stations, their programs, initiatives and individual contributors that increase their capability and improve the services offered to the community.

CBAA Chief Executive Officer Jon Bisset congratulated all finalists in this year’s awards.

“Congratulations to all finalists, and thank you to the judges that had the difficult job of whittling hundreds of fantastic entries down to the ones announced today. It is one of the great pleasures of our year to see so much of the fantastic work that community radio stations are doing on display in these awards. These finalists speak to the important role that community radio plays in the media landscape and its crucial contributions to local content production, media diversity and building a strong, open and vibrant Australia.”

A full list of finalists is available below.

Winners of these awards (as well as the Tony Staley Excellence in Community Broadcasting and Michael Law awards (no finalists announced)) will be revealed at a gala dinner taking place on the Gold Coast, QLD, on Saturday, 11 November.
