The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Station Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of RoxFM. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact in the community, working closely with volunteers, sponsors, and local organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the general coordination and administration of RoxFM’s daily operations, including finances, sponsorships, and publicity.
• Act as the face of RoxFM, liaising with community organisations and representing the station at events.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, including youth announcers.
• Manage the station’s website and social media presence, ensuring content is current and engaging.
• Source new music, manage the music library, and ensure programming diversity.
• Ensure compliance with broadcasting codes, licensing, and station policies.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports to the RoxFM Board.
• Assist with fundraising, grant applications, and publicity campaigns.
• Oversee technical operations and work with IT providers to minimise broadcast interruptions.
• Promote and uphold RoxFM’s organisational values in all activities. 

About You

Qualifications & Experience:

• Studies in Media, Marketing, Business Management, or significant relevant experience.
• Experience in volunteer organisations and/or radio broadcasting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, MYOB).
• Proficiency with Music Playout Systems (Jazzler) would be an advantage.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience coordinating and motivating volunteers.
• Friendly, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work outside standard hours and be on-call for emergencies or technical issues.
