Suicide Prevention Content for Broadcasters - March 2026

The Community Broadcasting Association is pleased to welcome you to the March 2026 content of our national suicide prevention and mental health awareness project, developed with the support of the Australian Government Department of Health.

Each month, our project team develops a series of 20 short radio segments designed to promote help-seeking behaviour and positive lifestyle choices, using interviews with service providers, as well as profiles of people who have successfully dealt with tough times in their lives.

This month, we catch up with Beyond Blue Spokesperson and psychologist Dr Luke Martin to remind you of the importance of seeking help if your mental health has been impacted by extreme weather or a natural disaster.

We find out about the Learnlinc platform, which enables people to upskill and increase their capabilities in suicide prevention.

We hear how headspace Work & Study helps thousands of young people in Australia each year to reach their work or study goals through free tailored 1-on-1 support, helpful articles and group chats.

We learn about Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds, a program dedicated to improving mental health and physical wellbeing in Australia’s road transport, warehousing and logistics sectors.

And we learn about the support and resources health professionals can access from PANDA when they’re helping new and expecting parents who may be struggling.
