A joint response from the Local & Independent News Association (LINA) and the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA). The Government has today opened a short consultation process on the next phase of the News Media Bargaining Code, the News Bargaining Incentive, seeking responses from industry and stakeholders over the next two weeks. The CBAA was saddened to hear of the recent passing of Les Heil AM, a long-serving contributor to, and later leader in, the commercial and community radio sectors who had a significant impact in the Australian radio industry as well as overseas.
