The Community Broadcasting Association is pleased to welcome you to the October 2025 content of our national suicide prevention and mental health awareness project, developed with the support of the Australian Government
Department of Health. Each month, our project team develops a series of 20 short radio segments designed to promote help-seeking behaviour and positive lifestyle choices, using interviews with service providers, as well as profiles of people who have successfully dealt with tough times in their lives.

This month, we learn about the various ways you can support Movember’s important work in the areas of men’s health, mental health and suicide prevention this November.

We find out about the recent Prevention in Practice Summit, a one-day event focused on improving mental health outcomes for Australians now and into the future.

We catch up with youth mental health service ReachOut to find out about new data which highlights the way that study stress is affecting young people, and to get some tips for coping with study for exams and assessment.

We learn about Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds, a program dedicated to improving mental health and physical wellbeing in Australia’s road transport, warehousing and logistics sectors.

And we catch up with Dr Luke Martin from Beyond Blue to find out more about connection between alcohol and mental health.
