Suicide Prevention Content for Broadcasters - March 2025

The Community Broadcasting Association is pleased to welcome you to the March 2025 content of our national suicide prevention and mental health awareness project, developed with the support of the Australian Government Department of Health.

Each month, our project team develops a series of 20 short radio segments designed to promote help-seeking behaviour and positive lifestyle choices, using interviews with service providers, as well as profiles of people who have successfully dealt with tough times in their lives.

This month, we hear how headspace Work & Study helps thousands of young people in Australia each year to reach their work or study goals through free tailored 1-on-1 support, helpful articles, and group chats.

We profile Are They Triple OK?, an R U OK? campaign that aims to increase levels of peer and social support for police and emergency services workers nationwide.

We learn about the support and resources health professionals can access from PANDA when they’re helping new and expecting parents who may be struggling.

We find out how ReachOut parents coaching helps parents and carers of teens build skills and confidence in their parenting journey through online and phone coaching sessions with parenting professionals.

And we learn about the free resources Hey Sport, R U OK? provides for coaches, administrators, officials, volunteers and participants to help everyone in their sporting community feel connected and supported.
