Community Radio Station Visits

Print

Station visits are back for 2019, offering delegates at the CBAA Conference the opportunity to see first hand how their peers are serving their community.

There's no shortage of fantastic community broadcasters in Melbourne, and we are fortunate to have three great stations in close proximity to the Conference venue who have all agreed to open their doors for our delegates!

There are so many amazing community stations in Melbourne, we wish we could visit them all to celebrate all of their great work and service to their communities! Is there a Melbourne community station not on our list that you're itching to visit? If so, let the CBAA know and we will endeavour to set up a meeting. In Melbourne, you're spoiled for choice when it comes to world class community media!

JOY 94.9 is an independent voice for the diverse lesbian gay bi-sexual transgender and intersex communities listened to by 530,000 people in Melbourne and more online.

3CR is a dynamic, community hub that has produced radio since 1976, providing a voice for those denied access to the mass media.

SYN is a media organisation run by a community of young people that provides broadcasting and training opportunities for young Australians.

Free of charge, this event includes transfer from the hotel to the stations and to the Kickstarter event.
