The Community Broadcasting Association is pleased to welcome you to the February 2025 content of our national suicide prevention and mental health awareness project, developed with the support of the Australian Government Department of Health.
Each month, our project team develops a series of 20 short radio segments designed to promote help-seeking behaviour and positive lifestyle choices, using interviews with service providers, as well as profiles of people who have successfully dealt with tough times in their lives.
This month, speak to the team at ReachOut about the resources and support available for teens to help them as they start a new school year.
We catch up with Jacqui Challinor, leading Australian chef and Lifeline Australia ambassador for febfast, and ask her about some of the benefits of getting involved in the febfast challenge and going without alcohol for 28 days.
We learn how you can get involved in Laps for Life this March to raise funds for, and awareness about, youth mental health and suicide.
We find out about Everymind’s Ahead for Business program, a free digital portal that connects small business owners to tailored resources and tools to support their mental health and wellbeing.
And we learn about a list of 10 free activities and resources that you can use year-round to encourage your school community to ask R U OK? Any Day.
