Zoe Brain interviews Stephen Wentworth for the Nationals

ZgenFM out and about in the seat of Whitlam

Holly Friedlander Liddicoat, 14th May 2019

Zoe Brain, 15, a presenter and youth reporter at ZgenFM (Southern Highlands, NSW) has been busy recently, reaching out to her local candidates in the seat of Whitlam.

Zoe's been asking the candidates questions relevant to people under the age of 25. Maintaining balance, she's asked each candidate the same questions, regarding the environment; youth mental health; and about each candidate’s taste in music.

The candidates interviewed so far include (right to left below): Jamie Dixon – The Greens; Stephen Jones – Australian Labour Party and current Member for Whitlam, as well as Shadow Minister for Regional Communications; and Stephen Wentworth – The Nationals. You can listen back to those interviews via the station's website. Zoe was also featured on The Drum.

The CBAA is working hard to build greater support for the community radio sector and translate this support into better policy settings to allow the community broadcasting sector to thrive. Find out more about our 2019 Federal Election Campaign and how your station can get involved.
