The Wire is looking for people to help put together a cracking national radio current affairs show.

The Wire broadcasts through the Community Radio Network, available to 140 small and large community radio stations across Australia.

If you are learning radio journalism, have some experience in it or want experience then contact The Wire to get on board.

The program is produced and broadcast every Friday in Brisbane and they are looking for people who can come in on those days and help us make great radio.

A stay of at least a few months is preferable to help keep our numbers somewhat stable. All of this can be negotiated.

All equipment is provided, you don’t need to bring anything except a thirst for news and a willingness to kick arses (although a notebook and pen would help you).

Finally The Wire are happy to provide a letter of reference to anyone who interns with them or work out a structured internship program with your university.

Many of their people have gone on to interesting roles in the ABC, commercial radio, academia and government.

Please contact Steven Riggal on steven@4eb.org.au for more information or to apply before 23 March.
