Sydney's 2RPH seek board members to help set the strategic direction of the station.

2RPH aims to help listeners participate more fully in the community by broadcasting programs that enable, inform, educate and entertain. 2RPH provides a radio reading service for people who cannot read independently, handle or understand printed material. The reach of 2RPH extends from Glebe across the Sydney basin, to Newcastle and the Lower Hunter.

With the support of 200 skilled volunteers and a small paid staff, 2RPH reads from the top daily newspapers, as well as international and Australian magazines and books.  Our programs are broadcast 24/7 on 1224 AM, 100.5FM and digital.

Our board is collegiate, highly effective and driven by a clear vision to grow and expand content, partnerships and audiences. There is now an opportunity for those with specific skills to join the 2RPH Board.

Specific areas of expertise being sought include:

  • Marketing
  • Governance and legal
  • Knowledge of current and emerging broadcasting technologies
  • The print disability sector

Following an extensive recruitment process by the Board of 2RPH, the community broadcaster to people with disabilities has appointed Sancha Donald to the role of General Manager of the station.


RPH Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of its new chair, Vaughn Bennison succeeding Peter Luckett, who departs after 13 years of leadership as Chair of Australia's only radio reading network.


A collaboration between theatre and radio is being revived with local community station, 2RPH bringing the Sydney production Little Fictions, to the airwaves.
