The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) is a member-based, not-for-profit organisation that champions community broadcasting and plays a vital role in the Australian media landscape. Community radio plays a vital role in providing a voice for multicultural, First Nations and other underrepresented groups, as well as supporting independent and emerging musicians and communities not adequately serviced by other broadcast media. 

The Role:

Involves supporting stations to successfully implement and maintain CBAA digital services to deliver a great digital experience for their audience.

Responsibilities:
  • Station on-boarding, ongoing support and guidance on CBAA’s digital products which include: CBAA WordPress template, Audio Streaming (Triton Digital product) and Podcasting (Omny Studio product)
  • Providing advice and guidance to station staff and volunteers on how to best utilise online resources and products
  • Responding to and resolving enquiries and issues
  • Coordinate and manage data and databases, routine correspondence etc.
Your successful profile will include:
  • Previous experience in a similar digital online support role
  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent work experience
  • Sound knowledge of web content methodologies
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for web content and online resources
  • Experience in coaching others in the use of online resources – such as WordPress
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical matters to individuals with little technical experience and or expertise
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven organisation skills, along with a high-level of attention to detail
  • Strong computer literacy and willingness to use/learn to use a range of online tools (WordPress, Salesforce, Slack, MS Office suite etc.)
  • Eligibility to work in Australia on a permanent basis
  • Affinity and/or understanding of community radio is desirable
