POSITION: Development Manager (Part Time)

Radio 1RPH in Canberra seek a Development Manager for a part-time role. 

Radio 1RPH is an independent, not-for-profit community radio broadcaster based in Canberra that provides a radio reading service. Radio 1RPH informs and entertains listeners across the Canberra, Wagga Wagga and Junee regions by turning print into sound.

The Development Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Establish positive working relationships with staff, peak bodies, community organisations, funding bodies, sponsors, donors and other relevant organisations
  • Support the Committee with the strategic development of the station
  • with a focus on developing business and increasing revenue through grants, bequests, fundraising events, campaigns and mutual collaborations with like minded businesses and organisations.
  • Advise the Committee on changes and or improvements required in relation to disability inclusion.  If necessary advise and ensure appropriate arrangements are in place in respect of participation by individuals living with disability.
  • Responsibility for management of grants including providing timely and adequate referrals and information on available grants and demonstrate a proactive approach to seeking and applying for grants.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of donors with contact details
  • Monitor campaign and sponsorship funding and liaise with responsible entitites.
  • With a view to promoting the station prepare and deliver presentations to outside organisations and arrange and manage in cooperation with volunteers and the program team a program of interviews with local identities
