The Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) is a member based, for purpose organisation that champions an independent and free media by providing a portfolio of programs that aim to strengthen the capacity and sustainability of over 450 community radio and media organisations.

Community radio services provide a voice for multicultural, First Nations and other underrepresented groups, as well as supporting independent and emerging musicians and communities not adequately serviced by other broadcast media.

The Role:

A key role within the CBAA, you will develop appropriate communication materials to enhance CBAA's and the community radio sector's brand, visual identity and reputational impact. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Work with the Head of Advocacy & Communications to develop the overall communications framework for the CBAA and drive engagement.

  • Support the CBAA by creating and delivering communications to aid CBAA strategic objectives, projects, product updates and key messages.

  • Design and deliver communications to members and prospects via regular product communication; CBAA’s website; e-communication campaigns and programs.

  • Influence and develop successful, strategic relationships across the organisation to align strategic messaging.

Your successful profile will include: 
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or a related filed and/or equivalent work experience.

  • Proven experience in delivering impactful and engaging communications.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Superior proofreading and text editing skills.

  • Proven attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with ease in a changing environment.

  • Proven ability to always maintain confidentiality and discretion.

  • Commitment to outstanding client service.

  • Strong organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and multitask.

  • Experience within not-for-profit, community-based or membership based organisations.
