The Health Minister who is a passionate supporter of community broadcasting, is also an RPP FM member. The station's Manager, Brendon Telfer, told the CBAA that Mr Hunt helped facilitate and fund the station's roofing and insulation when it moved to its current premises.

On his way out, Greg Hunt added his name to the Bass surfboard, to be auctioned at the RPP FM midyear function. All proceeds will go to Maddie Riewoldt's Vision Centre of Research Excellence and the Mornington Peninsula Disabled Surfers Association.

As part of their political engagement strategy, RPP FM is also looking to connect their community with candidates for Dunkley.

The CBAA is working hard to build greater support for the community radio sector and translate this support into better policy settings to allow the community broadcasting sector to thrive. Find out more about our 2019 Federal Election Campaign and how your station can get involved.
