Welcome to the September 2016 content of the CBAA's national suicide prevention and mental health awareness project, developed with the support of the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.

Each month, our project team develops a series of 20 short radio segments designed to promote help-seeking behaviour and positive lifestyle choices, using interviews with service providers, as well as profiles of people who have successfully dealt with tough times in their lives.

What's in this month's segments?

This month we:

Remind all Australians to reach out and reconnect with family and friends on R U OK?Day, which is help on September 8 this year.

Profile Kids Helpline, Australia’s only free, 24/7 phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25.

Speak to Rugby League legend and commentator Brett Finch who discusses his role as an ambassador for R U OK?

Talk to Mates in Construction tells about the work they’re doing to deliver better mental health and wellbeing outcomes for workers in the building and construction industry.
