CBAA Conference set to land in sunny Cairns

hfriedlander, 14th July 2021

The CBAA is excited to be reconnecting sector stalwarts and new faces at the 2021 CBAA Conference in Cairns, 2-4 December 2021!

The annual CBAA Conference is the premier event in the community broadcasting sector calendar, bringing together diverse broadcasters, volunteers, technicians and stakeholders to develop and strengthen their skills, knowledge base and sector network.

Since the last CBAA Conference at the end of 2019, the sector has worked tirelessly to connect communities in times of need—through emergencies, the provision of local information and news, broadcasting health information in community languages, and connecting and comforting listeners through music and talks content.

“We’re excited to be able to hear the stories of our sector and celebrate community broadcasting’s strength and resilience at the 2021 CBAA Conference. Rounding out the event will be our annual CBAA Community Radio Awards gala dinner—where we celebrate the people, initiatives and broadcasts that make our sector unique.” Jon Bisset, CEO

This session will provide a glimpse of the fantastic sessions and workshops on offer at the 2016 CBAA Conference.

Scholarships provide invaluable opportunities for under-resourced stations, volunteers and staff to attend the CBAA Conference to learn, network, share knowledge and participate in discussions to which they wouldn't otherwise be exposed.

The full list of Award finalists can be found below. Winners will be announced at the CBAA Conference 27-29 October, along with the recepients of the Michael Law and Tony Staley Awards.

Congratulations to all who has participated in this years program.
