Train your Way to the Top!

Industry Practice

Thursday 13th November 2008
Alice Springs Convention Centre, Northern Territory

As part of the 2008 CBAA Conference, delegates have the opportunity to be one of the first to complete a new Broadcasting accredited training unit. This unit is from the new Management Training course, administered by the CBAA Training Department.

The unit will be taught by Addam Stobbs, a qualified trainer registered with the CBAA. The course material has been developed specifically for the community broadcasting sector, enabling the content to be tailored to the challenges and experiences of stations.

The fantastic thing about the training is the way it has been structured to maximise participants progress by requiring independent pre-course work, in-depth learning on the day, post-class work, as well as tasks to complete with their station. This also allows the workload to be evenly distributed, so as to make the assessments achievable.

The course is accredited (nationally recognised) from the new Screen and Media Training Package. Successful participants will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment once successfully completing the assessment tasks.

For more information contact Laura at the CBAA on (02) 9318 9626 or longley@cbaa.org.au for more information.

The pre-course work will be starting from the 20th of October, if you are still interested in enrolling after this date please contact us.
