Community Radio Network
Australian Community Radio Satellite NetworkCRN is the national Community Radio Network. Basically it's a way for stations all over Australia to share programs or short interviews/segments with each other via the CRN satellite.
There are now over 180 community radio stations accessing news and specialist programs from a weekly schedule for rebroadcast on their local frequencies. Many stations also tune in for special broadcasts of national festivals, sporting and political events, documentaries and community service announcements.
Stations pay a flat quarterly fee (based on their income)and can then pick and choose as much or as little of the programs/content on offer as is suitable for their listeners.
The Digital Delivery Network
(DDN) now accessed by many stations, means that most CRN programs/content can be automatically recorded, for later broadcast at a time suitable to the station.
Please follow links to our weekly
program guide or monthly
program updates in The Community Radio Network Newsletter to find out more about the programs on offer.
