Join us for the 2018 CBAA Conference and be part of the biggest community broadcasting event of the year.

The conference runs from 8 - 10 November and delegates will enjoy:

  • A welcome and networking event on Thursday evening 
  • 2 full days of programming on Friday and Saturday (full program here)
  • Members will be able to attend the CBAA's Annual General Meeting on Friday evening
  • Wine and dine at the 2018 CBAA Community Radio Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday evening (ticketed event)

Pre-Conference Workshop: Secrets of Successful Boards and Committees

Half Day Workshop 12:30 - 4:00pm on Thursday, 8 November - limited capacity

Get a head start on the 2018 conference with this additional half-day workshop focused on governance delivered. Unlock the secrets of successful boards and committees with guidance from experienced community sector practitioners who are actively involved in boards and committees and who understand the complex issues this presents. This session is a must for current and aspiring board members. Attend to learn about:

  • The importance of good governance
  • Getting the right people on board for the right reasons
  • Meeting legal requirements
  • Recruitment and succession strategies
  • Making your constitution work for you

Presented by: Patrick Moriarty, Executive Director - Institute of Community Directors Australia

Cost: For conference delegates, registration is $88, includes afternoon tea. For non-delegates, registration is $165, includes afternoon tea.

Wet Your Whistle Conference Kickstarter

All registrations include access to Thursday night’s Conference Kickstarter welcome event – a chance to mingle with your fellow delegates over some food and drinks.

Cost: Included in your delegate ticket! Extra tickets for non-delegates are $55 per ticket.

CBAA Community Radio Awards Gala Dinner

Join us for community radio’s night of nights! The CBAA Community Radio Awards Gala Dinner is the highlight of the CBAA Conference social calendar and an opportunity to come together and celebrate outstanding work and contributions by stations and individuals across the sector. Attend to wine, dine and socialise with community broadcasters from all over Australia.

Date: Saturday, 10 November 2018

Venue: Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre

Cost: For conference delegates, registration is $145 per ticket. For non-delegates, registration is $160 (non-delegates).

Registration Terms & Conditions

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Please ensure that you read the below terms and conditions carefully. Your conference registration indicates that you have read, understood and accept the terms and conditions of the 2018 CBAA Conference as outlined below.

  • All cancellations must be advised in writing to the Conference Organisers.
  • Cancellations received on or before Friday, 7 September 2018 will receive a refund of registration fees less an administration charge of $250.00. Cancellations after this date will not be refunded.
  • Cancellations for social program received after Friday, 7 September 2018 will not be refunded. 
  • Any accommodation cancellations must be received in writing by the Conference Organisers. Please refer to the individual hotel cancellation policies. The Conference Organisers cannot guarantee new bookings or amendments to existing books after Friday, 5 October 2018.
