Amrap launches new community radio music airplay charts
The CBAA's Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (Amrap) has launched two new charts to promote the most popular Australian singles hitting the community radio airwaves.
The ‘Amrap Metro Chart’ and ‘Amrap Regional Chart’ will each provide a weekly top ten list of the singles most ordered for airplay from Amrap’s AirIt; community radio’s Australian music distribution service. Over 2,500 broadcasters from 250 stations are subscribed to Amrap’s AirIt and over 1,500 tracks are ordered for airplay each week.
The charts are segmented between regional and metropolitan broadcasters to highlight the unique influence that community radio has in supporting both emerging musicians and established artists that rely on community radio to reach the airwaves.
The charts will be published each Tuesday at AirIt. Community broadcasters can get free accounts to order music from Amrap’s AirIt.
