2014 Reclink Community Cup
Sunday 22 June - Elsternwick Park, Melbourne
This year’s theme is ‘Such A Perfect Day’, based on the song 'Perfect Day' by the late Lou Reed.
As always, the clash between Melbourne's community broadcasters and the local rock fraternity remains the centrepiece of the event, but the entire day promises to be huge.
Preparations are well underway to make this a fun, family friendly day out, one for the local community to embrace and one that carries a tradition that has been established over the past two decades.
From what started out as a humble AFL match amongst the music fraternity is today an event which last year saw over $100,000 raised and well over 10,000 attend.
The event will raise funds for Reclink Australia, who use sport and the arts to enhance the lives of people experiencing disadvantage and targets some of the community’s most vulnerable and isolated people - those experiencing mental illness, disability, homelessness, substance abuse, addiction, and social and economic hardship.
