The CBAA is a registered training organisation which offers nationally-recognised training in radio to community broadcasters. The training covers all aspects of radio broadcasting and production, as well as more advanced training for journalists and senior staff in radio stations. Training takes place at community radio stations around the country in partnership with the CBAA.

The CBAA is now managing the National Training Project, in conjunction with other sector-based RTO's. The project will coordinate the roll out of nationally accredited training to the community broadcasting sector over the next two and a half years.
