The efforts of several individuals who have made sterling contributions to the society through their work in community broadcasting have been honoured as part of the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

Chris Deacon from Artsound FM, Gary Thorpe of 4MBS Classic FM and industry heavyweight Steve Ahern were all recipients of this prestigious award announced by the Governor-General over the June long weekend.
