Financial Benefits
Due to the size of the CBAA membership, we are in a good position to negotiate bulk deals on behalf of our member stations. The following financial incentives are available to CBAA Members only.

Reduced CRN fees
CRN is the national Community Radio Network satellite - a 24 hour radio service available for rebroadcast on your frequency. CBAA Members pay $400 - $1648 per annum for the service. Non members pay a flat fee of $2200 per year.

National Radio News
Receive a 25% discount for news on the hour. Member stations pay $209 - $484 per month for this news service. Non members pay an additional 25%. Over a year, a member can save up to $1100.

Duty Solicitor Program
The Duty Solicitor Program is an initiative of the CBAA and the law firm Tress, Cocks and Maddox. The Program provides CBAA members with easy access to legal advice from solicitors with expertise in broadcasting and media law. Member stations are entitled to receive free advice by telephone for 20 minutes.

Defamation Insurance
AON Risk Services provide insurance packages to companies and associations. Defamation insurance is available to CBAA Members for approx. $850. Non members pay a minimum of $2200. Public liability, property insurance and directors liability insurance is also available at competitive rates.

Public Liability and Property Insurance
The CBAA has renegotiated its deal with AON Risk Services for the provision of general insurance to member stations. As an indication of premiums; Public Liability rates start at $115 pa; Content insurance to the value of $30,000 attracts a premium of $160; Volunteer Accident coverage starts at 75 cents for each volunteer. You can also nominate to cover damage to volunteer vehicles from $100 pa.
